The Agents of the Magus have made a pact with an entity who uses divination and illusion to support their goals. The Magus can be anything, from a powerful extraplanar entity, to an extremely experienced trickster manipulating people and the Arcane. Or maybe they are the incarnation of the Major Arcana of the same name?

Their goals are often opaque, hidden under layers and layers of scheming and manipulation. And their endgame might not be what it seems at first glance. Who knows if the terrible tragedy that an Agent of the Magus provoked was not to shield another community, beaming with potential? Or is it just simply chaos all around?

But they are also diviners, looking at the possibilities of the lives they cross path with. They try to influence events, subtly bending reality to their will, nudging the flow of little things to create chain reactions with larger consequences.

Make a pact with the scheming Magus. Embrace illusion and divination magic, and bend the chaos to further the goals of your mysterious patron, as well as your own. Pull the threads of fate to escape danger, or ensure victory.
